Jorginho started for Chelsea in the 1-0 semi-final victory over Al-Hilal in the 2021 FIFA Club World Cup on 9 February 2022, playing the first-half before coming off for N'Golo Kanté. He was an unused substitute as Chelsea beat Palmeiras in the final three days later to claim the Club World Cup title for the first time in the club's history.

Jorginho has vowed the Chelsea players will do everything they can to make new head coach Graham Potter's Champions League debut a successful one, having kept focused on their new challenge during a week of change at the club.

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has spoken of his desire to stay at Chelsea ahead of the 2022/23 season and believes he can continue fulfilling his childhood dreams by prolonging his career at the Blues.
